 General Emergency Alarm Regulations

According to SOLAS Chapter III & LSA Code

> Shall be capable of sounding seven or more short blasts followed by one long blast on the ship's whistle or siren and electrically operated bell

> Capable of operating from the navigation bridge and strategic points

> Audible all the accommodation and normal crew working spaces

> Sound pressure level in interior and exterior spaces shall be 80db and at least 10db above the ambient noise level

> In cabin it should be at least 75db and at least 10db above the ambient noise level


Public Address System Regulations

According to SOLAS Chapter III & LSA Code

> It shall be a loudspeaker installation enabling the broadcast of messages into

all spaces where crew members including muster stations

> Able to broadcast from bridge and necessary places

> It shall be protected against unauthorized use

> In interior spaces- 75db and min 20db above the speech interference level

> In exterior spaces- 80dband min. 15db above the speech interference level
