    1. plainly speaking, pilot valves help to seal the closing water because of centrifugal force. It also helps to drain the closing water when the opening water acts on it...

    1. Weak Links is provided to connect gear pump and horizontal shaft.... In case of any problem with gear pump, weak link breaks. Which will help to avoid the damage of horizontal shaft, gears and bearings

  3. weak link is provided btwn motor and horizontal shaft to break link incase of motor overload to avoid damage of gear and shaft
